Shame, shame, shame

camden is mad at glenn and myself. nothing really new there. yesterday was our anniversary. she didn't feel we "expressed our love" enough. she left us two notes on our pillows last night and if i knew how to scan onto my laptop, i would include those in this post.
i will paraphrase by saying we were thanked for being her parents and keeping her healthy and bright. not sure what the bright referred to...but she was thankful for it.
i did celebrate by taking elyse, in proxy for glenn, to get a pedicure. we did go to dinner...ALONE....which is a celebration in and of itself.
if only i could really wear my anniversary like a blazing crown on my head, i would. i'm proud of it...and i know that glenn is too. we worked hard to get to this point. we had some amazing years and some really bad ones and as glenn expressed the other night, the bad was just as productive as the good. we work hard at liking each other, which sometimes, as i'm picking up the same towel day after day (that could be hung on the hook right next to it) can be a really difficult thing. i'm sure he would fall over dead if i ever apologized (i promise i would if i was ever wrong) and we both would really love for life to slow down a little bit so that we could remember what it was like to "date"! but that time is coming and for now we are pretty happy with our "expression of love" which comes out in our commitment to each other and our kids. so camden, if it makes you feel any better...i did kiss dad goodnight.

First...Camden is great...What would we do without our Camden and Kendall making sure we are staying on task???

i liked the part where you talk about the "bad" years and how possibly you learned from them. oh, you are a much better woman than i. congratulations to you both...what a darling couple you make, even if you are somebody's in-laws now...somebody's grandparents just round the corner (i will still tell you even then, you are a cute grandma-dont worry)!

Happy Anniversary! It will be very funny to see Camden with her husband. What a riot! He will certainly know if he's not being romantic enough!
